From Apprentice Roots to Master Builders

BP Builders is a construction company based in Proctor/Duluth, Minnesota. We prioritize trust, respect, and quality in every project we undertake. Our focus is on delivering exceptional commercial and residential construction services, and our relationship-driven approach ensures that every client's needs are met with the utmost care and attention.

Our journey began with a carpenter’s apprentice who believed that quality work starts with honesty, respect, and hands-on experience. Today, BP Builders is a team of seasoned professionals and rising apprentices who carry on that legacy — crafting exceptional projects with integrity at every step.

At BP Builders, we believe great construction starts with great people. Our team is made up of skilled professionals—both in the field and in the office—who work together with one shared goal: delivering quality work and building lasting relationships. We bring hands-on experience, clear communication, and a deep respect for the craft to every job site.

Glenn Plante

Owner

Glenn founded BP Builders in October 2020, bringing decades of hands-on and leadership experience in the construction industry. Starting as a carpenter apprentice in the mid-90s, he worked his way up through journeyman, superintendent, and project manager roles before achieving his goal of starting his own company. Known for his ability to balance multiple tasks while staying connected to the field, Glenn is passionate about helping people bring their construction dreams to life. Outside of work, he enjoys hockey, softball, hunting, fishing, and even picking blueberries.

Susi Hedenberg

Chief Financial Officer

Susi has been with BP Builders since March 2023 and brings over 10 years of construction experience. A Duluth native, she grew up in the industry and has held leadership roles across local organizations. She’s passionate about teamwork, organization, and mentoring women in construction.

Samantha Peterson

Project Administrator

Samantha joined BP Builders in 2024, bringing a background in business administration and strong skills in organization, communication, and collaboration. She is currently pursuing her bachelor’s degree at Bemidji State University and enjoys traveling, spending time at the lake, and building her career for the future.

Connor Hemme

Project Manager/Pre-Construction

Connor Hemme joined BP Builders as an Assistant Project Manager in 2024. He brings hands-on experience from a carpentry internship and running his own mailbox replacement business. Connor is developing his expertise in estimating and project management and recently completed his first full project, the Northern Waters Float Center. Outside of work, he enjoys woodworking, hiking, pickleball, and Minnesota sports.

Ross S.

Superintendent

Ross has been with BP Builders since day one, bringing 30+ years of construction experience. Known for running efficient job sites and solving any problem, he values hard work, customer care, and passing knowledge to the next generation. Outside of work, he enjoys hunting, fishing, farming, and family life.

Eric M.

Superintendent

Eric has over 30 years of construction experience and joined BP Builders in 2023. With expertise in project pre-planning, timber framing, and finish carpentry, he is committed to running safe, efficient jobs. Outside of work, he enjoys hunting, fishing, woodworking, and spending time with family.

Robert S.

Superintendent/Foreman

Robert joined BP Builders four months ago with 30 years of industry experience. With strengths in leadership and problem-solving, he also continues working on his family farm. He enjoys the outdoors, his Native American heritage, and spending time with family.

Aaron S.

Lead Foreman/Superintendent

Aaron brings 32 years of experience in residential and commercial carpentry, joining BP Builders in 2023. A hardworking leader, he enjoys building strong relationships in the industry. He loves hunting and fishing with his sons, and is most passionate about being a devoted husband and father.
